BREAKING NEWS:SHABU SA SAN JUAN NI RAID NG NBI,DAAN DAANG SHABU ANG NAKUMPISKA.

MANILA - Authorities on Friday discovered illegal drugs estimated to be worth millions in a house in San Juan, Metro Manila.
The illegal drugs were confiscated by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Friday morning in a house being leased allegedly by Chinese nationals in Mangga Street, San Juan City.

According to the NBI, they found 100 bags of methamphetamine, locally known as shabu, in the house. The bags contained 10 kilograms each. They also found the drug in liquid form in a truck on the premises.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, an NBI agent said their conservative estimate of the drugs’ street value was P6 million each bag. The street value of the drug has skyrocketed, he said, due to the government’s crackdown on the illegal drug trade.

“The tenant said he was Chinese. He kept saying hindi raw siya ang may-ari ng bahay, wala raw siyang alam,” said Avery Go, head of the homeowners’ association in the neighborhood which includes Mangga Street.
They did not notice anything was amiss at the house, he said, because the tenants were very quiet.

“As far as peace and security are concerned, mabait sila…nobody knew they were involved [in illegal drugs].

They seemed like model neighbors,” he said. As they have no control over what happens in homes in their neighborhood, Go said, the least they could do in the future is tell lot owners in their neighborhood to be responsible for the tenants that they bring in.

Another nearby house was previously raided by authorities, Go said, for illegal drugs.

The authorities are continuing to catalog the contents of the house in San Juan, and are pending investigation of the case.
